LA Knight has reclaimed the WWE United States Championship.
In the main event of Friday’s SmackDown in Philadelphia, Knight defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to secure the title for the second time.

Nakamura won the WWE United States Championship from Knight at Survivor Series last November in Vancouver. During his reign, he defended the title only once on WWE programming, a disqualification loss to Knight on SmackDown in January.
Friday’s main event seemed destined for a similar finish when Nakamura incapacitated the referee with mist and introduced a steel chair. However, his tactics backfired as Knight capitalized, delivering a BFT onto the chair. A second referee rushed in to count the pinfall, bringing Nakamura’s third reign as United States Champion to an end.
